what is a humans pH balance and what is a dogs pH balance?
in there hair and/or fur
cause my shi-tzus have hair not fur so would it be ok to use human shampoo as apposed to dog.and i want to know what a male shi-tzu that is approximately 10 pounds pH balance is and what a humans pH balance is
and if you got the info from a site or book could you give me the name or adress
Human hair is usually about 4.5 to 5.0 pH. Dogs' skin tends to be neutral (about 7.0 pH) to slightly alkaline (8.0 pH).
Not all shampoos made for humans are formulated with the same pH. Some may be quite acidic, as low as 2.0 pH, and some are as alkaline as 9.0. Most are around 5.5 to 6.0 pH. Dog shampoos also vary in pH, although usually dog shampoos are slightly more alkaline, ranging from about 4.5 to 9.0 pH.
I think you should buy that dog its own shampoo
Which natural health school has a better reputation or following?
Clayton’s College of Natural Health or Bastyr?? debating where to go any information on either is welcomed. Thanks
I know of Bastyr, if you’re talking about the University in Washington (http://www.bastyr.edu/). It looks like Clayton College of natural health offers an online education, which is less than optimal given the choice. Hands-on is always better.
I debated on attending Bastyr when deciding whether to become a ND or homeopath. A medical doctor (friend) who also trained as an acupuncturist in China presented me with a simple question: What do you want to do? My answer, thus solution: Homeopathy.
Consider your own goals in helping you decide.

Supposedly cancer cannot grow in an acidic environment, do you know any alkaline foods I can get into?
The question of whether cancer can or cannot grow in acidic environment aside…
If you want to attain an acidic environment in your body, why the heck would you be eating alkaline foods? It will just make your body alkaline, not acidic.
How do I balance this oxidation reaction equation?
OK, it is aluminium reacting with nitrate ions in ALKALINE solution to give aluminate ions (AlO2)- and ammonia (NH3).
I can balance the aluminium oxidation in acid solution as Al + H2O —> (AlO2)- + 2H+ but because it’s alkaline I cant add H+ it has to be OH-. Can anyone help please?
I get:
8 Al + 3 NO3- + 5 OH- + 2 H20 -> 8 AlO2- + 3 NH3
I did this by putting variables before all ions and solving the five equations in 6 variables. (4 equations for the atoms and one for the charge)
